3 orange lights in the southern sky. Below the cloudbase @ approx 1000m. Moving W to E across the southern sky, initially quite rapidly, maybe 3-400 kts, then slowing to 1-150kts before turning to S and disappearing. Three lights at 60 second intervals, approx the same manouvre. Lights were constant brightness during transit, but fading when they turned away. There was no sign of navigation lights or different colours, just a very consistent orange glow, no pulsation or variability. Apparently no sound at all - I did go outside at one point, but heard no sound. This was seen by myself and also by my wife, who was first to notice the phenomena.

The three separate phenomena, were remarkable for their consistency, each of them following much the same flight path as if they were trailing each other.
